Casino Mogul Steve Wynn says that drugs will not be tolerated at his gaming properties and is using the latest high profile celebrity drug arrest to prove his point.
Last Friday, Wynn’s newest managing partner of nightclub operations, Cy Waits, was arrest outside the Wynn Las Vegas casino on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after police claim they smelled marijuana in the vehicle.
Waits had held his position for only a week before his “separation from the company” was formerly confirmed in Wynn Resort’s press release on Wednesday. Waits will not be held to any non-compete agreements and is “free to pursue other interest” according to the statement.
However Waits was not the only one separated from Wynn Resorts, following the arrest.
Steve Wynn has banned socialite Paris Hilton from the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore properties following her arrest during Friday night’s incident. Hilton was arrested inside the casino on charges of felony cocaine possession.
