SugarHouse Casino officials say that the Philadelphia gambling hall along the Delaware River is set finally to open its doors to the public on September 23rd.
According to the casino’s plan, they will be holding two days of testing for several thousand invitation-only guests on September 20th and 22nd.
The off day between the two dates will be for the casino to address any issues that may arise on day one.
The SugarHouse Casino will be turning over the money won by the casino on these days to four nonprofit groups in Philadelphia.
After the trail run, as long as the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board does not see any problems with their operation, the SugarHouse will be permitted to open its doors to the general public on the 23rd.
That will be good news for the more than 800 worker that are set to become employed at the casino.
The casino floor will feature 1,600 slot machines and 40 table games.
