The recession is continuing to hurt the Las Vegas casino market going into its third straight year of declining revenue, leading resorts to begin to cater to a new niche.
While Las Vegas is famous for the bright lights and fast pass of casinos, resorts up and down the strip have packed their properties with all kinds of activities from shows to theme parks and even bowling alleys and numerous dining venues that are attractive to more than just adults.
For years these resorts have catered to the gambler and convention businesses that have dominated the market, but with the change in economic times weekend activity on the strip has recently become family oriented.
Casino resorts like the Luxor, Excalibur, The Flamingo and Caesars Palace have become popular destinations for family reunions turning in the “sin city” motto for the “family friendly” tag.
