According to the figures released this week by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the states table game operations are bringing in the money.
Although table games were only in operation at the state’s nine casinos for less than half the month during July they have generated a combined total of more than $17.5 million in revenue.
The state received more than $2 million from the casinos for July and local governments received $350,000.
The figures generated during the month have analysts believing that the Pennsylvania casino market could evolve into fierce competition for neighboring Atlantic City and possibly generate more than $400 million annually.
Out of the nine casinos in operation, the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh came in first generating $3 million in revenue during the month, followed by Parx Casino in Bensalem with $2.3 million and Mount Airy Casino Resort in the Poconos with $2 million. The remaining casinos generated between $1.3 million and $1.9 million.
