The 2010 hurricane season in full swing in the Atlantic.
Currently, storm after storm seem to be piling up as Danielle prepares to blow itself out in the North Atlantic, Earl bares down on the Caribbean and a low pressure system east of the Lesser Antilles becomes better organized.
Online gamblers are being effected.
As of Monday morning, Earl passed the island of Antigua as a Category 3 storm with winds topping out around 115 mph. Due to the heavy winds, major power outages are being reported, knocking out Internet services in the region.
Antigua is one of the Caribbean’s primary online gambling hubs and many players are not sure when their accounts will be up and running again.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center, located in Miami, said Earl has already reached major-hurricane status and shows signs that it could continue to gain strength.
At this point, all many gamblers can do is sit and wait. Most online casinos without power released statements prior to outages saying that their customers will be notified via email when service is restored.
