Online Gambling Regulations Phone Campaign

Only 12 states in the USA have laws against online gambling. There are no federal laws that prohibit online casino games. That means that in 38 states around the country you can legally go online and play poker. You can legally play your favorite slot machine, blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat or video poker game. The catch is that the places you can legally play at are completely unregulated.

An unregulated industry means unregulated payouts on casino games, less than Vegas standards (which is very low). It means online casinos don’t have to offer help for problem gamblers, or watch out for underage gamblers. They don’t have to provide quality customer support if it is needed, heck, they can even steal from you and there is nothing you can do about it. They answer to no one.

Obviously, the big bad US government attempt to try and stop online gambling from existing was a miserable failure. In the end, they raided a few offshore companies, confiscated hundreds of millions of dollars, and scared legitimate gambling companies away from US customers. So in their attempt to “protect US citizens,” they created an environment that gave less protections to US citizens, AND, it was the US player’s money they confiscated from these offshore companies!

Did you know that gambling is actually run and promoted by 48 United States governments? Ever hear of the lottery? Isn’t that gambling? So why is that okay, but online gambling not okay? Maybe because that would ruin each state’s monopoly it currently has on gambling?

Did you know that betting on fantasy sports is completely legal in the United States? The sports leagues are the biggest opponent of online gambling. Why? Because they have a monopoly on the industry through the fantasy sports leagues.

Are these types of gambling somehow okay, while putting money into an online slot machine is not okay? Of course it’s the same thing. Of course it’s hypocritical, it’s the US government! But this is too important of an issue, too popular of a cultural activity, for nothing to change.

So what can you do to help?

Well, sitting around and waiting for laws to change isn’t good enough. It has been 4 years and it doesn’t look like anything is going to change unless we speak up. Thinking this isn’t an important enough issue isn’t good enough. Freedom, we think, is pretty important thing to stick up for. Hoping other people will take the lead isn’t good enough, either. All great movements start at the roots, and that’s where you come in.

So what can you do?

CALL YOUR CONGRESS PERSON AND SENATOR AND DEMAND ONLINE GAMBLING LEGALIZATION AND REGULATION!

It’s that simple. The house and senate representatives really will do what you want, but here’s the catch, YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT!

It’s okay to tell them you want to live in a society that protects freedom, not deters it. It’s okay to tell them you support Representative Barney Frank’s bill to legalize and regulate the industry and that you want them to, too. It’s okay to tell them that you believe the taxes that could be earned from online gambling regulations belong within US borders. It’s okay to tell them we need to regulate the industry so we can protect problem and underage gamblers. It’s okay to tell them the country is hurting, and that there is a way they can stick up for freedom, while at the same time creating thousands of jobs for the American unemployed.

So call your house representative and your senator and stick up for your basic right that America was founded upon – freedom.

Call right now, it won’t take longer than 5 minutes. Honestly.

Then, call again tomorrow, or the next day. Make it a habit.

Call them once or twice a week and demand action.

Tell them you will not stop calling until something gets done.

Tell them if they do not support your freedom, you will not support them in their next election bid!

Be kind, be courteous and respectful. Tell them how great they have done on other issues, but demand action be taken on this one.
