The Seminole tribe’s exclusive Mega Bad Beat Jackpot program has paid out $183,628 thanks to one lucky player with an unlucky hand.
The six casinos under the Seminole Casino brand launched the unique program on December 1 and according to Jeffrey Hook, senior vice president of marketing for Seminole Gaming has paid out more than $100,000 to at least one table every month since the program began.
The recent win was awarded to 88 year old Pauline Medoff from Delray Beach Florida, whose four queens was beat by a straight flush to the queen. The program that pays out the entire table in a qualifying poker game award Medoff’s losing hand $91,814, the winning player Robert P $55,089 and the remaining four players at the table $9,181 each.
The win marks the fourth time the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek has paid the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot.
The jackpot is funded by a $1 contribution from every poker game with a pot greater than $10 at the six casinos, with each win the jackpot resets to $100 thousand.
