GoDaddy.com has found themselves at the center of another lawsuit, after allowing the registration of an online casino using the name and images of deceased pop star Michael Jackson without permission.
An attorney for Jackson’s estate says that they will pursue every legal action possible to shut down the unauthorized gambling site.
TMZ reported that that the online casino site is an affiliate of another site, but that they name of the owner has not been revealed.
However the article states that Howard Mann has filed the suit as the owner of the copyrighted photos on the site, and is suing GoDaddy.com in order to obtain the name of the individuals or company that registered the site.
A Rep for GoDaddy.com says they have not yet seen the lawsuit but planned to defend themselves against any legal action.
In 2008, GoDaddy.com was the only register to provide certificates to the state of Kentucky after a court order seized a number of domain sites.
