In a culture that believes “going green” is the way to go, receiving recognition for environmental excellence is truly an honor.
MGM Resorts International received recognition at 12 properties, more than any other casino resort company in the hospitality industry.
The Green Key Eco-Rating Program, a joint initiative between the Hotel Association of Canada and LRA Worldwide, ranked 11 of MGM’s Las Vegas properties with top “key” ratings.
The highest five key rating went to the ARIA and Vdara at the CityCenter; the Bellagio, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Mirage, Monte Carlo and New York-New York all received four key ratings and Circus Circus Las Vegas and MGM Grand Detroit were awarded three key ratings.
Last year MGM also received recognition from the U.S. Green Building Council for six buildings constructed within the massive CityCenter project. The Mandarin Oriental, Veer Towers, Crystals retail district, Vdara, Aria’s hotel tower, convention center and theater were all awarded the LEED Gold Certification.
