Cantor Gaming will bring more technology to the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino through a new deal that includes expanding race and sports betting operations.
The Hard Rock has signed an agreement with Cantor Gaming to become the casinos exclusive race and sports book operator incorporating its In-Running technology, currently under regulatory approval, that will allow gamblers to place wagers on races and sporting events right up until the end.
The new Sports Book facility is scheduled to open in the spring of 2011.
Upon approval from the state of Nevada the Hard Rock will also begin using Cantor’s eDeck mobile gaming devises to allow gamblers to place bets on sporting events without being limited to the sports book.
“Cantor Gaming has created an entirely new and exciting approach to betting on sports,” said Joseph A. Magliarditi, President and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “Instead of the action stopping once the game gets under way, with In-Running that’s precisely when the action starts. This opens up a whole world of opportunities and we’re pleased to be able to offer this innovation to our customers.”
