Las Vegas is no stranger to technology with casino operators like MGM Resorts International launching their own iPhone apps to market to gamblers, but now the big technology isn’t confined to the bright lights of the strip.
This week, Bally Technologies launched its first iPhone app exclusively for Michigan’s Greektown casino.
With the first release now available for free download at Apple’s website, patrons of the casino can use the app to view promotions and giveaways, as well as directions, hours of operations and other casino information.
Greektown is the first casino in the state to offer a personalized application for its property, but this app is not the last of it.
Greektown officials said that future versions of the app are already in the works and will allow Player’s Club members to access their personalized accounts, track progressive jackpots, make dinner and hotel reservations and will even be offered on other smart phone devices.
While Greektown is the first casino to launch the application, Bally Technologies says that the application will be offered in other markets and can be customized for any gaming facility.
