The latest twist in a three year legal battle between Girls Gone Wild producer Joe Francis and Wynn Resorts over $2 million in gambling debt may result in a discount.
Joe Francis has filed a lawsuit this week claiming that in 2007 he had entered into an agreement with the Wynn Las Vegas casino that would give him a discount on gambling loses and that the agreement has not been applied to his $2 million debt that has been at the base of the legal battles.
Francis has acknowledged that he lost $2.8 million wagering at the casino in 2007 and has only repaid $800 thousand but is asking the judge to make Wynn Resorts apply a discount to the remaining unpaid markers.
Wynn Resorts says that the agreement was rescinded in 2008 because the debts had not been repaid in a timely manner. In the court filing Frances claims that he was not told that there was a time constraint on the deal.
Francis is currently appealing the court’s ruling that he is responsible for the debt.
