Representatives from the Foxwoods Casino asked gaming regulators today, for more time to complete Discovery before a hearing aimed at stripping the group of its gaming license.
The Philadelphia casino project has been stalled for four years without the proper financing needed to begin construction and in April, the gaming control board moved to revoke the projects licensing after the latest round of financing fell though.
Earlier this year Wynn Resorts agreed to finance the troubled project led by a group of investors and the Mashantucket Pequot Indian tribe, however abruptly withdrew their interest.
The group is now in talks with Harrah’s Entertainment and told regulators that they expected to be able to submit the terms of a non-binding agreement to revive the project, next week, however did not verify if those plans would include financing from Harrah’s.
The board however continued to express their frustration and impatiens with the project.
