The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada has joined forces with, hotel giant, Marriott International Inc.
The move will now give Marriott’s loyal customers a Las Vegas Strip option for their stay in Sin City as well as provide the nearly 3,000-room Cosmopolitan access to Marriott’s vast customer base.
Both sides appear to be able to profit from the merger.
“A lot of those customers are going to Las Vegas every year and not staying in a Marriott product,” said J.W. Marriott, Marriott International CEO. “Now they can go and stay in a Marriott product.”
Cosmopolitan officials feel that this marketing move will greatly bring in more business as it puts their hotel and casino on the largest hotel website on the planet.
Experts believe that this move allows the casino to compete with some extremely big names in the industry. Most of the hotel and casinos along the Las Vegas Strip are owned by Harrah’s, Sands, MGM or Wynn.
Now they might actually be able stay afloat among the big boys.
