The Houston Texans have made wide-out Andre Johnson the highest paid receiver in the NFL.
According to reports, Johnson has signed a two-year extension that could translate to the former number three overall pick making about $10.5 million per year.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak could not be happier.
“It’s a great thing for this organization, for a great person and a hell of a player,” Kubiak said. “Andre’s what this game is all about.”
Kubiak pointed toward Johnson’s commitment to the organization and the city of Houston though what he called ”some tough, tough times” as a huge part of why Texans owner Bob McNair gave Johnson this deal.
